Gelane Diamond Presented on IIJA and IRA Funding Opportunities

DWGP attorney Gelane Diamond presented on November 14, 2023 at the American Public Power Association (“APPA”) Customer Connections Conference in San Antonio, Texas on the topic, “Tapping Federal Infrastructure Funding for Innovation.” Ms. Diamond’s presentation explored the various funding opportunities and tax incentives available to public power and their customers through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (“IIJA”) and Inflation Reduction Act (“IRA”).  Topics included the new Department of Energy (“DOE”) rebate programs under the IRA for energy efficiency upgrades, funding available under DOE’s Weatherization Assistance Program, new tax credits available for customers directly, and the tax credits and bonuses available directly to public power under the IRA’s new elective pay provisions.  Ms. Diamond enjoyed discussing these timely and important developments and opportunities available for public power.
