Gelane Diamond Speaks on IRA Tax Credits at ASES Solar Conference

On May 22, 2024 at the American Solar Energy Society SOLAR 2024 Conference in Washington, D.C., DWGP attorney Gelane Diamond participated on a panel of industry experts to discuss the topic of Solar Energy Policy in the United States. The panel discussed federal, state, and local government policies encouraging solar deployment across the country. Gelane’s focus was the tax credit incentives in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and their impact on solar and other clean energy project development. Specifically, Gelane discussed the increased duration of the tax credits under the IRA, broader eligibility and flexibility through elective pay and transferability, and the bonuses available for the tax credits.
