The Third Installment in the DWGP “Building on the Past, Preparing for the Future” 50th Anniversary Webinar Series

On October 6, DWGP presented the third Installment in the DWGP “Building on the Past, Preparing for the Future” 50th Anniversary Webinar Series.

In this webinar, DWGP’s Regulatory Policy Director Barry Lawson, and NERC’s Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, Sônia Mendonca, discussed a range of reliability and security policy issues, including:  Where are NERC compliance obligations going next; how are NERC and the Regional Entities addressing the dynamic landscape of cybersecurity, the changing resource mix and increasingly severe weather events; whether NERC’s expectations of industry from a standards and compliance and enforcement standpoint evolved as a result; and are NERC’s short and long-term priorities solely based on these issues, or are there others that industry should be aware of.  Ms. Mendonca was featured in the ERO Executive Spotlight in the August 2021 NERC News.

We hope attendees enjoyed this informative discussion.  If you missed the webinar or would like to view it again, please click here for our webinar recording.
