DWGP offers a comprehensive summer program for a select few law students from across the country. Our summer program is our primary attorney recruiting tool, and DWGP invests significant resources to train summer associates for their careers following law school. Poojan Thakrar:
Poojan is a rising third-year student at the University of Minnesota Law School with a focus in energy and environmental law. He is a managing editor for the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. He is also a member of the board for the Environmental and Energy Law Society as well as the South Asian Law Students Association. When he's not in the law library, Poojan is chasing after his foster cats or cheering on Minnesota Golden Gophers sports.

Alec Peters:
Alec Peters is a rising third-year student at the University of Colorado Law School. He is interested in energy, environmental, and Native American law. Prior to pursuing a career in law, he worked as a software developer and data scientist for several companies in the energy industry.

Kegan Nelson:
Kegan is a student at the UC Davis School of Law interested in environmental, energy, land use, and water law. He is an editor for the UC Davis Law Review and a member of the Trial Practice Honors Board. In his free time, he enjoys playing blues guitar and hiking with his dog.

Emily Hutchins:
Emily is a student at the University of Miami School of Law with an interest in environmental law and renewable energy development. She is a member of the International Law Review and had the opportunity to attend the COP 27 conference in Egypt as part of an international negotiations course. Emily’s previous legal experience includes interning with the Wisconsin Department of Justice in the Environmental Protection Section and a Miami-based firm specializing in brownfield redevelopment.
